Ron brought up the idea privately of trying to make the python
workshop we've got grow into something like the hacking society:

The reason is that python is a great language, but some or all of us
will want to also play with other great languages over time.
Also, can anyone comment on the other local python group:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/nycpython/
I don't know the group, but if you do, can you comment on whether the
groups complement each other or if we're just doing the same thing?
