[nylug-talk] amanda failing

Greetnigs.  Happy to be posting an actual question
about Linux at work !    I manage a Solaris/AIX cluster
that is backed up with Amanda.
For a few months, we have been backing up a couple
of Ubuntu Linux boxes.
The other day, we had a power outage, 
and the one that has no UPS went down.

The Ubuntu box has not been backed up since.
The box with the problem seems to be identical 
to the box that never went down, because that
one is in the Data Center.

It doesn't seem to help if I run at the command line
the amandad command just like in /etc/inetd.conf
