I dont get your logic what's your definition of hard core UNIX people?
You do know many of the software bundled by most distro's today comes
from Redhat?
Look at the long names of key contributers to the Linux kernel and GNU
software overall notice the @redhat.com behind their names :)
That being said I dont think people give enough credit to Redhat for
all the work they provide for the linux community over all especially
compared to most of the other distro providers who basically just
package up applications and rely on key engineering efforts from the
likes of Suse and Redhat.
I'm not trying to shoot down the work done by Debian, Ubuntu and other
distro's but seriously folks? How can anyone not be running Suse or
Redhat in a critical production environment today?
