So, I am trying to put together a new system, and since I have been
running off laptops the past few years, I have minimal experience with
the new parts. (PI express in particular and DDR2 and Intel CPUs).
So I have a case and PSU (650W),
- ASUS P5E
- Intel Xeon x3220 Kentsfield 2.4QHz 2 x 4MB LGA 775 Quad-Core
- 4 x 2GB ECC PC800 DDR2 Kingston vlaue ram
- 2 x 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1 HDD
- 1 x 7100gs Nvidia pci express x16 video card
It's not posting our putting out any video, but the CPU fan is
powering up. I don't have any other hardware from this generation so
swap testing is not an option.
Cheers,
Brian
