[nylug-talk] [ot] shared hosting w/ SLA, human contacts, etc.?

We've been hosting our web and mail at vr.org for the last 3-4 years. 
Service had been exemplary until about a month ago. Now our site goes 
down several times a week, and vr.org seems to have given up on backups 
(didn't really need them from them, but still, not a good sign). Their 
support is now pretty much like a black hole - you toss issues in, and 
you pray that something comes out.

Of course, I understand that you only get so much for $12/month.

Anyone using a better class of shared linux hosting w/ cpanel (or 
similar), etc, where there are SLA's and someone to call should things 
go south? Cost is a secondary issue at this point - I just want 
something hassle-free, and I'm willing to pay for some modicum of 
reliability and lack of excuses.
