Under the law you have the right to keep the copper. And under
the law, Plain Old Telephone Service is under the laws and
regulations of common carriage. The old copper line is worth
keeping. Write to the head of the Telephone Company, and send a
copy of the letter to the Public Service Commission of New York
State. I would send both letters as registered mail.
