I know almost nothing about stocks and the market, but I wonder if it
has anything to do with the fact that VirtualBox is getting better and
VMWare's free server product seems to be getting worse.

In general, VirtualBox strikes me as being much faster than VMWare, and
they also have that nice little seamless thing (which basically puts a
Windows task bar on your Linux desktop.

VMWare's server 2.0 beta seems quite cumbersome, and judging from their
forums, the majority of people strongly dislike the new web based
interface.

I repeat, I know lttle about stocks, but if you'd asked, why is VMWare
becoming less popular, that's the answer I would have given you.

VirtualBox also seems faster than the older VMWare, the server 1.4
whatever, I think.

The VMWare workstation has many more sophisticated features from what
I understand, but a great many people simply want to run one or two
Windows apps that either work better than the Linux equivalent or aren't
yet available in Linux.

Willow: Hours. Days maybe. Anyone suggesting months would not
be accused of crazy talk.
