That's certainly a very important feature, though I would never put it 
above effectiveness, which is an area where ClamAV has occasionally made 
the big boys like Trend Micro not look so great.

But that's the problem... with no realtime anti-virus capabilities under 
Windows, ClamAV is just about worthless on Windows itself.  The irony of 
course is that all ClamAV is installed to protect Windows boxes, just 
usually it's a Linux box doing it.
