Math majors are brilliant because they act as the best support system for the 
rest for an engineering school.  Engineering students need lots of math, but 
they aren't always the best at it.  So these students turn to the math

As for women's studies majors and any other major that involves analytical 
brain power:  These people are in fact fully aware of the uselessness of 
their majors but are also the people who are likely to go out and fight for 
social causes and such.  A friend of mine was in fact a useless women studies 
major at Dartmouth, a crème de' le' crème de' le' crème school.  Today she 
fights for affordable housing in NYC and the economic sustainability of the 
lower and middle classes.  Tomorrow she may join the fight against Russian 
sex trafficking, or RAWA and the rights of Arab women everywhere.  Who knows.  
Regardless of what she does, I have full faith that she'll have a far better 
positive impact on society than a failed psycho free software fanatic.
