It is worth looking at the flags that they're invoking java
with. There are usually flags for max mem, starting mem, how often to
invoke a GC sweep, etc. that will affect memory usage and the
stability of the memory usage over time.

The default starts at:
-Xmx32m
-Xms128m
-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true

I have it set at 256/256.

But even before I tweaked the settings this freeze up started to occur.

I upgraded to 1GB as per their suggestion and the problem seems to
have gone away and
told them that.   Now its 'problem fixed, we dont care' time.

I'm going to annoy them with little suggestions where they can improve
their software
whenever I have a moment.
