   I think these are audit error messages related to something like SELinux.  
Looks to me like a security policy *might* be denying cupsd from opening 
stdin.

   Are you by chance actively using an SELinux policy?  If this is Ubuntu then 
this policy might only be *reporting* what SELinux *would* deny if it were 
really active, rather than *actually* denying it.  By default the SELinux 
targeted policy that comes with Debian + Ubuntu I believe works that way, and 
if so, these messages are again just another red herring -- but I can't tell 
for sure.
