Where do you suppose the British mail that Franklin intercepted was headed?

I won't comment further on this OT thread. It's just a pet peeve of mine
when people misquote Franklin in support of the theory that intercepting
international communications between Americans and foreign belligerents is
somehow novel or un-American.
