   The bandwidth part of the argument also didn't have much relevance, either.  
Even with a 28k modem I could download messages from NYLUG, at a rate of a 
few seconds per message.  The size difference in the message between a 
paragraph of prior context and the full prior message isn't vast.

   It's purely a matter of netiquette.
