The 440's do have one of suns ALOM units (of which there are at least
2 or three variations).  As well, the console usually is the serial
port. If you can, you should re-start the system to see if the OBP
console device is set to the serial port. If it has a graphics card of
any kind, taht could confuse matters, I guess.

Suns hardware manuals are pretty good about telling you how to get to
the device, though. Look at docs.sun.com.
