I found a product on Amazon (Revolution DS?) that allows you to run 
software off an SD cartridge in a DS. Presumably allowing you to run 
homebrew apps and do some hacking?

Hardware-wise, its similar to the GP2X (which runs Linux anyway).

BTW, regarding WPA, I had a similar issue with using the Wii wirelessly 
with my access point - turns out I just needed to select a different 
encryption to get it up and running. Now, hacking a Wii to run Linux, that 
would be very interesting to me.
