Anyone ever played around with it?
We broke down and got a couple DS Lite's for the kids, and I notice
there are a few cartridge add ons you can use to play "hombrew" apps,
have a movie player, or play Linux(the one that seemed most appealing
doesn't seem to be stocked anywhere - in addition to letting you load
Linux, it added 32MB of RAM to the 8MB onboard ram. Outside of that,
the best you can do is the 16MB ram cart for the Opera extention)
Looking it over, I'm not sure what can be done it seems like it doesn't
really do graphics, so your limited to a CLI interface and a virtual
keyboard.
On the flipside, anyone know how to setup a hotspot just for certain
classes of devices? The DS Lite won't do WPA, and my TMobile hotspot at
home phone seems to have issues with WPA. So I was thinking of rigging
the Linux box back up as the main router and using traffic shaping to
create an unsecured wireless network with 10% of the bandwidth for the
cell and DS use.
