It may that "gsm is the suck", as you say, but I'd rather have an open, 
more consumer-friendly standard than a totally closed, better standard.

In other words: I can have the phone of my choice (a Nokia E61) on the 
"suck standard", but I have to take whatever the carrier decides, locked 
and crippled, on CDMA.
