Well, another friend uses the same client and does not have the same
problem. resolv.conf gets updated just fine. Maybe he forgot that he had
to tweak the config file.

I just did not bother.

Thanks for the tip, will try it. I remember doing this eons ago when I
used to setup a split-brain dns setup on a linux server which had only a
dialup connection to the internet. Used to save / update resolv.conf on
ppp-up. :)
