[nylug-talk] Looking for a database developer

Hello all,

[I am not posting in "Jobs" as I am looking for more general advice on 
this project, not just a bunch of CV's.]

One of my clients, an academic research center, needs a custom database 
for an environmental monitoring project that they will run.  As 
databases go this is not too complex, but the subject is interesting 
and they are a very nice client to work for.  They are open as to 
technologies and implementation, but I would rather steer them towards 
a FOSS database backend with a browser-based frontend in order to make 
the whole thing easier to administer and more portable.

I am looking for people who would be interested in the project (please 
contact me off-list) and also any advice as to what to look for and 
what to avoid by people who are not interested but have opinions on 
this.
