It is for news like this, but lately, as far as my look at the archives can show,
not as much conversation in general is happening here, so the potential for any
kind of important news to be discussed is greatly diminished.
What's even more puzzling is that NYLUG hasn't discussed at all the RIAA winning
the lawsuit on Copyright infringment on the P2P network in the state of Minisota.
This has been a very important story for Free Software users and media users in general.
Declan McCullagh seems to be the only guy even covering this important story and you need
to wonder just how much more of a shove it will take before there is a full blown copyright
revote by the public.
This is not Delan's peice, but it gives you an idea of the stakes involved and the media
coverage thus far.
