A lot of people possess only hands-on knowledge, and while it's enough
to get by most days, it means they don't have full command of what's
available to them.  And indeed, it is quite a bit, and changes over
time, so that even those who learned it all some time ago, undoubtedly
don't know about a lot of things.

There are lots of good books, but there's a lot to be said for not
trying to work through it alone.  I took some online classes back in the
bubble, and it was really the online chat "classroom" that made it worth
while.  Otherwise it would just be a book, and that's not optimal.
