Oh totally... I make $ off every head that gets comp'ed (someone says
"oscar's list"... I make $5... the person pays nothing.)... and
personally, I would have ZERO issue with donating half if not 2/3 the
proceeds from NYLUG's attendance... OF COURSE... that is all
contingent on ACTUAL attendance...
3 LUGs show up my faith in the efforts and and proactivity of NYLUG
will as be cheapened as the $5 I would pay NYLUG for their
"dedication" to turning out to a rockin' club with a 100" projector
screen... a commitment to my retro arcade tourneys... etc.
There's a good reason I don't putz much with WWWAC anymore... those
are people that cannot hang out to drink for free...
If NYLUX is equally deficient in its night life... it won't be to my
best interest to approach the group with ANY subsequent projects...
We need to RECRUIT... and that means pulling NYU, The New School...
all the area schools.. I promise... this will be a wonderful
recruitment effect...
OR IT WILL BOMB MISERABLY cause a bunch of nerds are scards of rock
music and people with loose morals. ;)
