Perhaps you should stop for a moment and think why this may be so.  Could it 
be because of an unabashed display of chauvinism in members' posts?

You may prefer it this way but I think that most of us do not and take 
exception to the comments that you and a bunch of others made following the 
original post (which lent itself to such comments).

At the very least don't make any assumptions about your audience.  Your 
comments are as inappropriate as, say, a man I don't know approaching me at a 
conference and asking me if there are any good peep shows around.  There was 
a time when this would be acceptable male bonding behavior but, if you 
haven't noticed, the times they are a-changin'.  Same goes for technology 
forums like this.
