Taxes are even more screwed up because the working stiffs have to pay
a much higher percentage of their income in taxes. Also, the sales
taxes are just another form of poll tax. (regressive tax). Basically
wealthy people don't have to spend as much of their income on food as
people with less money. Since food buying food is taxed... it hits the
poorest people the hardest.
We are in a toxic tax situation right now, that is designed to destroy
the middle class, and reward the wealthy.
