GNU Mailman doesn't anonymize, if you look at the headers, there's a
series of Received: headers, and the Message-ID: and References: aren't
scrubbed, although your point about not being able to match addresses to
faces is all too true.  Ruth Shanen once told me we should put e-mail
addresses on nametags instead of names, and she's right.
