[nylug-talk] Commands to Brother laser printer under cups?

Fellow luggers;

I print quite successfully to a networked Brother HL5250DN laser printer 
connected with CUPS.

I am now trying to output from a perl program and I need to move the 
left margin further left.  I've tried sending down PCL commands with 
zero results.

Has/can anyone please provide what may be necessary to send a few setup 
commands to this printer that will work?  Again, all that I am trying 
simply print as text or eliminate the text altogether.
