Hello!
Why? For the same reason I am a carded member of the Save the IBM
S/370 Club. Because they are fun.
Because the first computer that I had successfully launched and ran
Linux on happened to be a 75Mhz I486DX, and the second was a 100Mhz
Pentium (with the bugs fixed.), and the third was a 800Mhz P3. Need I
state more?
Also I am not too thrilled with Sony's marketing skills. They seem to
be ignoring Linux except for the PS3 who's selling like fur coats in
the Congo.
And yes there is support for the Vaio in that same kernel for its
optical sensors and for its GPIO device.
