[nylug-talk] Are you in high school (or junior high) or college? (Demographics)

I'm wondering how our students found NYLUG. Anyone still in grade
school or an undergrad, I'm asking *you*. :)
I've got a few more questions, but I figured I'd start by trying to find
out how many students we've actually got here and how they learned of
NYLUG. Also if you dropped out of school but are under the age of 22,
I'm talking to you too.
It's been a long time since I've seen any high school kids at a NYLUG
meeting, and I'd like to get to the root of why that is. Our last large
crop of high schoolers are almost all out of college now. In fact a
couple of them are working over at Google on 9th now, and we're very
proud of them, but I'm wondering who we're going to be proud of in the
future. Sometimes at meetings, I get the feeling I'm mostly looking out
across an audience that works for a living and half of which remembers
life before the Microsoft monopoly. Nothing against those folks, I'm
one of them myself. I just want to make sure that five years from now,
we haven't detached from the rest of the world in a graying bubble.
I'm sure it comes as little surprise that the average age of the people
in our IRC channel is a lot lower than the people at our meetings. I
can't say what's true for this list, but I suspect it more resembles our
meetings than our IRC channel.
