I'm with Chris Knadle... trying to help people is officially never
wrong, at least so long as no one gets harmed by the effort.

That out of the way though, sometimes less is more.  I know every time
someone writes Yet Another PHP Templating System, it actually subtracts
from the value of the free and open software universe, and somewhere a
baby seal is clubbed to death.  I always encourage people to join an
existing effort instead of starting another one.  Sometimes though, for
various reasons people need to go their own way.  The site in question
doesn't doesn't really strike me as the sort of thing LDP would be
involved in.
