   All that would do would immortalize those people into martyrs of the Free 
Software Movement.  Someone else would take over where both of those people 
left off -- perhaps not doing exactly the same jobs in the same manner, but 
it wouldn't stop development.  If anything that plan would backfire faster 
than any other, as it would harden the resolve of those involved.
   Same goes for the SCO litigation -- all that has really done is give Linux 
more publicity and rally the troops.

   GNU/Linux is perhaps on the virge of going mainstream.  It doesn't much 
matter to me if that happens today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or next 
year, because one way or another that it will happen, and that's really what 
counts most -- not when.
