# Required Skills: The FeedRoom is looking for a talented Senior
Application Support Engineer. As a Senior Support Engineer, you will
provide 3rd level technical support and guidance to the Operations and
Development teams. This includes diagnosis of production issues,
providing workarounds, developing fixes, building binaries and testing
them. The technology in use is a N-tier model using Java servlets,
Resin and Oracle. We have a full-featured application component
system, based on XML specifications and implemented in Java. We make
extensive use of Java, XML, SQL, and JavaScript.
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to customers, Operations, QA and development teams
locations
* If necessary Recreate customer technical environments by
researching, identifying, and resolving a variety of problems
* Document all technical inquiries, develop and review content for
knowledgebase
* Provide training or assistance to junior staff
* Help test alpha and beta products
* Respond to inquiries, primarily via email and telephone
Required “hands-on” Experience of the following:
* Java development experience
* Experience with UNIX, Linux
* Experience with Oracle or MySQL
* Implementation experience with web based technologies: HTML, XML,
JSP
* Minimum 4 years experience for each of the above requirements
* B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or
equivalent work experience
* M.S. in the same preferred
