[nylug-talk] Daylight Savings DST tzdata

I just thought I would share a link.
I have an ancient RedHat box that serves as my mail server.
I don't have time to install and test a new OS
in the next 5 days, so I need to patch it.
And I'm not paying RH for the priviledge.
There's a great debate about what to do,
including one person who generously did not
question the motives, frame of mind, sanity -
he just posted a HOW-TO....
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=527036
(search for pratul )
(and the self-validating thread included a test which
my system now passes date -d 'Mar 27' | grep EDT .)
Have fun, fellow PROcrastinators.
If anyone needs a copy of the tzdata tarball, let me know.
It's not hard to find a pointer to it, but the
target server has to be working in order to get the file.
