The issue with both these ideas is that we get relatively few direct
postings, yet I get enough feedback to know that at least some people
are getting hired from the recruiter jobs.  It is possible to create
some kind of favorable treatment for the self-posted jobs on the web
site, but it's hard to do it in the e-mails.

I also don't want to accept recruiter jobs but be hostile to them at the
same time.  If we're going to deal with them, I'd like to have them
still come by when they don't have to work so hard placing people.
