The Blackberry itself is the email client. You can't separate the
software from the device. (They may improve the client over time, but
I'm not holding my breath.

For Palm OS Treos try Chattermail and Snappermail. Windows Mobile's
Pocket Outlook Mobile is adequate for most uses.
