Edubuntu works great for my 2 yr old. it comes with Gcompris, teh whole KDE
educatiuon suite and is ok in performance on an old PIII with 128 RAM.

Firefox with Flash for Linux handles Thomas the Train and Friends Website
quite well. Most of teh others work just fine as well.
