I do not have the most recent Macbook Pro but the G4 PowerBook the  
the previous MacBook Pro.
I like this laptop.
I run mainly Mac OS X on it but I also installed Debian on both.
I also use Parallels to run debian and freeBSD in a virtual  
environment on the MacBook Pro (which works great).
Since emacs comes with native carbon support I am very happy with Mac  
OS X as my main desktop environment.
