Acronyms take on meaning in the tech world. I've yet to see you take
the time to spell out any of the *other* acronyms we've been throwing
- you've been sounding like you know what they mean, so note that
you're relying on all of the same TLAS, FLAS, and other shortcuts that
_everyone_ else is.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is your problem? You jumped down my throat claiming that I was
contradicting myself when in fact I wasn't. If anything you should take
the time to read my posts before actually replying to them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don't want to learn or say the latest acronym that's completely
respectable, but at least let google be your friend before you make
yourself look silly in a conversation this way again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For *your* information! I googled SAS and Serially Attached SCSI was
not on the first page. I don't have the time go sift through page
after page to figure out what an acronym stands for.
Besides I wasn't the one who was interested in turning this conversation
into what acronyms I may or may not be familiar with.
Talking of trolls.

I was commenting on the difference between software RAID and hardware
RAID and how my experience has shown that SATA drives are not as
reliable as SCSI. I fully understand that the main and probably
only difference between a SCSI drive and any other drive may very well
be the chipset, although not always.
Lastly I find it hard to believe that software RAID has zero impact
on system performance as opposed to hardware RAID.
