You will be responsible for supporting the UNIX servers, with a focus on 
the LINUX platform. Accountable for evaluating, justifying Linux 
platforms, layered products and technologies

10+ years of experience in enterprise UNIX environment; 5 of which with 
a concentration on Linux RedHat

Primary responsibilities include integrating Linux technologies, and 
hands on system administration activities. Maintain Linux platform in 
alignment with corporate compliance service requirements. Hardware 
evaluation / integration X86, Vendor specific, etc, HBA, I/O, Network, etc.

# Required Skills: Knowledge of high availability and Disaster recovery 
engineering as related to bare metal provisioning, operating system and 
application fail over, etc.
Knowledge of NFS, SAN and related storage, volume management and backup 
and restore technologies
Applied knowledge of UNIX / Linux platform security practices and 
technologies, for example, NIS, NFS, Kerberos, etc Expertise in the 
following a big plus: Experience on systems that support Oracle RDBMS, 
with Oracle ASM filesystem
Clustering software
Apache/Tomcat
Troubleshooting utilities for performance or network problems.
