Zero dollars.  :-)  I do agree with Doing It Right, but if you're losing 
100,000 potential customers every ten minutes because your images are 
broken, sometimes you have to make it work.  OP knows which is the 
case.  (And to be fair, nobody would just do a live switch to Apache 
without testing first, right? *cough*)
