[nylug-talk] Consumer grade NAS

Does anyone have any experience with some of the consumer grade NAS 
products, like this one from Buffalo?

It serves data over FTP or SMB. I using it to store and backup data from 
a couple linux and windows machines. Strictly home use, not a lot of 
multi user activity, but should have the network and storage bandwidth 
to stream video.

Is it better to look for a product which support NFS, or SMB OK 
performance wise. Any suggestions for other similar products to look at?
