  Although I'm not married to it, I'm using FC6. I tried Ubuntu but its  bizarre "security* features that kept blocking me from configuring my  hardware left me cold. 
  
  Anyway, just hoping for a basic by the numbers way to uninstall my old card and install the new.

  ps Adrian, I thought you were making a joke with the ebay link to the  Orinoco Silver, but then I  clicked on your other link and it was  a video on how to physically change out a mini modem on a ThinkPad? As  if I didn't get enough interesting but not really helpful pieces from  Googling.
