Where and when is the Install fest?

I am a NYLUG member, currently living overseas (Italy), but would like
to send a friend of mine.  He is in NYC and just getting started with
UBUNTU on a notebookPC, and has some problems getting realplayer and
xine to work.  Where can I send him - does he need to register...?
