[nylug-talk] enable usb writes

Hi all,

I'm trying to run Debian on a USB flash drive, I'm following these
directions:

  http://d-i.pascal.at/

and I'm using the live.debian.net images. I formatted the drive to
FAT16 and then I have tried to run the install-mbr or the lilo on
/dev/sda (the partition is /dev/sda1). However install-mbr doesn't give
any message, lilo gives me an error:

Fatal: creat /boot/boot.0800: Read-only file system

The tutorial talks about activating write protection, however I've
googled and I haven't found how to enable write protection in usb flash
drives

  Any idea?

  Thanks,

  Miguel
