   It sounds like an invitation to the darkside.

   If this is just a mailing list then there is no issue, but based on the 
terse description I don't think that's what it is.

   Besides the obvious issue related to what SOLICITED mail means (I.E. the 
meaning/method of "OPT-IN" in this case), the OP didn't specify SENDING, 
which created predictable confusion -- the first reply was about Exim4 and 
spam blocking.
