which is why i have yet to switch to Linux, which i would like to do, and  
explore every 18-24 months or so -- there is no credible hi quality page layout  
software, and proably wont be for some time -- next version of KWord may be  
useful, well have to see -- they always have too many bugs, Scribus at its  
current pace will take another 5 - plus years, plus they have no intention of  
implementing mail-merge as far as i know
 
i use Serif's PagePlus under Msft which is the minimum i can get by with --  
buy the trial (find at freeserif) for ~ $10 to try it out, then if you like it 
 buy the upgrade for ~ $50-60
