Hi Michael,
at this point 'testing' aka etch, is a cats whiskers away from being
released as stable, so you are essentially doing a stable-to-stable
upgrade. This would require you to FIRST read the release notes and any
related /usr/share/doc/* info. If you did have a problem, you could
check bugs.debian.org/samba for any noted issues. If you could not find
a bug matching yours, I'd file a new one. Beyond that, I dont use smb,
so I dont know. Maybe ask the fine folks on #debian or debian-user.
