I think it's wrong to call it an "Apple idea", all I said was that Apple
has recognized the same problem but come up with a different solution.
The upstart developer in fact feels he's done a better job of solving
the problems with init than Apple has.

Agreed.  But you're speculating about what _might_ go wrong with any
piece of software.

That would be a poor choice of event response in my opinion also.  Short
of a reason to suspect this is the intended default behavior for upstart
though, this is just musing about the world in general still.
