[nylug-talk] LVM question again

LVM is not designed for things like this.
Most distributions now setup LVM managed partitions primarily because its
fringe benefits: being able to dynamically resize partitions, moving
partitions around, and creating single logical volumes out of multiple
disks. Snapshots are cool too.
If you really want to mount this disk, you'll have to first make sure that
the target platform has the LVM kernel modules built.
Then you'll need to run pvscan to detect the physical volumes on the disk,
and then vgimport to import the volume group.
Only then can you mount the actual filesystem on the disk.
The LVM documentation should have specific commandline information for you.
