The moment you accept union mentality you can consider your professional 
career ___OVER___.  Go read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" for some interesting 
insights on why this is the case.  (Hell, go read it for plenty of other 
reasons too.)

I see people with no drive for life, no aspirations other than the seniority 
and structured union promotions the union has for them.  Its sad.

(Thankfully I'll be graduating college soon, and this part time gig will have 
totally outlived its purpose.)
