35 hours a week plus, vacation that I can actually
take plus, permanently in NYC plus, union benefits
plus, a job that should be here after I am 50 plus...

No offense, when you are 20 you see the world through
rose colored classes.  By the time you hit 30, you
realize that you are not invulnerable.  By the time
you are 40, after 60-100 hour weeks, divorce, etc.,
the world is once again different.  By the time you
hit 50, you have either figured out the above or end
up working in retail for $35K - and happy to get that.
